Rey Gorsuch, Ph.D. Rey Gorsuch

Rey G. Gorsuch – Founder, Director, President and Chief Technology Officer, is the principal inventor and founder of Transvivo, Inc. He has had extensive management and technical experience in aerospace and medical devices for both large and small startup companies, including Northrop Aviation, Cavitron, Inc., Sierracin Corp., Bear Medical Systems, Statham Instruments, Inc. and Healthdyne, Inc. He has developed over 100 successful medical products in the past 30 years. He was also founding President of Medaids, Inc. and Equitron, Inc. Mr. Gorsuch currently produces wines in the Napa Valley under the Goosecross Cellars label. Mr. Gorsuch graduated in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from the University of Colorado and Arizona State University, Tempe.


Harold H. Handley, Jr., Ph.D. H.H. Handley,Jr.

Harold H. Handley, Jr. Ph.D. — Executive Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer, Secretary to the Board of Directors, joined Transvivo in 2000 with over 20 years of academic or industrial experience in management and research in biotechnology. He currently oversees all regulatory, clinical and research strategies for the company and recently gained FDA approval to begin clinical trials for Transvivo. Dr. Handley authored several Transvivo publications and is co-inventor on several Transvivo patents. Dr. Handley’s prior research and patents served as the founding technology for IDEC Pharmaceuticals, now IDEC-Biogen, currently valued in excess of $20B. Over the years, he has participated at varied levels in biotechnology “start-up” corporations such as Hybritech, Idec, Maxim Pharmaceuticals and now Transvivo, Inc. Dr. Handley has also won five world bodysurfing champion titles. Dr. Handley received his bachelor’s degree from UCLA and his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.


Harold W. Peters Harold W. Peters

Harold W. Peters, B.S.M.E., Vice President – Engineering & Operations, joined Transvivo in 2001 with over 30 years experience in medical device development. Mr. Peters directs Transvivo’s team of technicians and engineers at the company’s Richmond, CA facility. Mr. Peters secured the company’s license to manufacture clinical product granted by the California branch of the FDA. Prior to joining Transvivo, Inc., Mr. Peters was owner, president and founder of HPD Medical, Inc., where he manufactured dialysis cartridges and pressure transducers. HPD Medical possessed both California and Texas licenses to manufacture medical devices and held FDA certifications for Good Manufacturing and Good Laboratory Practices under ISO 9001. Mr. Peter’s experience greatly facilitated Transvivo’s FDA compliance during product development and launch. Mr. Peters is also an avid aficionado of boating, fishing and sportscars. Mr. Peters obtained his engineering degree from West Coast University in Orange County.
